Agriculture Services

Tukutech is among the first companies in Tanzania to use drone technology in delivering agricultural services — specifically pesticide spraying, fertilizer application, and seed/fertilizer spreading for crops.

Using the DJI Agras T40 drone, which carries up to 40 litres of liquid pesticide or fertilizer, we are able to spray up to 50 acres within a single hour. The drone is equipped with impeller pumptechnology that allows precise control over droplet size depending on the crop type. Pesticide is also electrically charged as it passes through the pump, causing it to attract and adhere effectively to insects or plant surfaces.

Our agricultural drone services include:

Fertilizer spraying We ensure accurate and high-quality pesticide application, reducing environmental impact while controlling the spread of pests in unaffected areas. We guarantee full farm coverage with no section left untreated, and heavily affected areas are prioritised.

Fertilizer spreading — We deliver efficient fertilizer spreading tailored to the specific needs of each crop. Precise application improves nutrient uptake, leading to healthier crops and better yields, while reducing fertilizer waste and overall spraying costs.

Key advantages of drone-based crop spraying and spreading over conventional methods:

Precision
Each plant receives the correct amount of chemical, eliminating wastage and over-spraying/spreading.

Speed and efficiency
The drone can carry a spraying payload of 40kg and a spreading payload of 50 kg, fly at up to 10m/s, and operate for up to 15 minutes per flight, covering up to 250 acres per day, depending on weather conditions.

Cost efficiency
Reduces labour costs and minimises chemical wastage.

Our process:

    • Consultation — We assess your crop type, treatment requirements, and expected outcomes, then design a spraying plan tailored to your farm.

    • Preparation — We carry out all necessary equipment checks and preparations, including the drones and supporting gear, then head out to your field ready to begin operations.

  •
    • Execution — Spraying operations begin, with real-time monitoring and adjustments as needed.

  •
    • Completion — A summary report is provided, including service details, flight data,
